[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]; with Mitchell's manuscript code at foot of leaf: "ι'." [i.e. iota' = Greek number 10]. Binding: eighteenth-century mottled calf; single gilt fillet and roll pattern border, with gilt cornerpiece stamps; gilt roll pattern on board edges; gold-tooled spine, with remnants of gilt title label. Red and brown sprinkled edges. Marbled endpapers.
