Provenance: Armorial bookplate (between 1733 and 1754): Philip Lord Hardwicke Baron of Hardwicke in ye County of Gloucester [i.e. Philip Yorke, 1st Earl of Hardwicke (1690-1764), created Baron Hardwicke, 1733, and Earl of Hardwicke, 1754]. Binding: Late seventeenth-century English? sprinkled calf over boards, gilt tooling on spine, blind double fillet and inner rectangular compartment design on covers, blind roll on board edges, red and brown sprinkled edges. Spine label missing.
