Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscription on front free endpaper in Norris's hand: Bt. ECSH [i.e. E. C. Stanley Norris] at Baileys 20/5/35 2/6 [and] Cat.I.9.c.ii.2. Binding: Nineteenth-century half sheep and marbled paper over boards on four recessed cords, with five false raised spine bands, gilt spine floral and foliage tooling, red leather spine label, gilt top edge, plain fore- and bottom edges. Spine title: Lysons Middlesex.
