Imperfect: lacking the original plate 2 (replaced by the suppl. full-colour plate of Geoffrey Plantagenet); suppl. plate of Fontevrault effigies bound as frontispiece; plate of Queen Matilda's coffin bound after main title-page, not with introduction. Includes the "withdrawn" plates 143-144 (Sir Bernard Brocas). Plate 85 (Black Prince) dated 1811/1820, so probably the cancel; plates 44-45 and 98 dated 1811 and 1812/13 respectively, so probably the uncancelled originals. Half goatskin, marbled paper sides (worn); title and decoration gilt on spine (as issued?).. Provenance: No ownwership marks.
