J.P.L.' [probably John Ponsonby Lucas (1823-1898), Wilkinson's brother-in-law]. Provenance: Nineteenth-century armorial bookplate: 'John Gardner Wilkinson Brynfield House.' [i.e. Sir John Gardner Wilkinson (1795-1875)]. Binding: Nineteenth-century full calf, gilt fillet, 5 raised bands, spine gilt-tooled & lettered on black label.
