Twentieth-century monogram bookplate with initial ‘E' against a rose inside a marquess's coronet and a framed by a double L [i.e. Edith Helen Chaplin (1879-1959), m. in 1899 Charles Vane-Tempest-Stewart, 7th Marquess of Londonderry from 1915]. Binding: Nineteenth-century publisher's quarter blue cloth on brown cloth, black leather spine label, lettered in gilt; lettered direct in gilt on spine. Gilt-top.
