Binding: late sixteenth-century full calf; sewn on six double cords; double gilt fillet border; gilt strapwork and foliate centrepiece stamp; spine rebacked (eighteenth-century) in calf, with gilt floral tools and fillets, and with gilt title 'Plutarchi Vitae Xylandri' on red goatskin label; manuscript fore-edge title: "Plutarcha Vitae 100"; eighteenth-century endpapers.
