Summary
Fireplace - Mantel shelf and legs of Portland stone. Mantel shelf - chamfered edge supported by two brackets with floral decoration. The header has a central crack. There are triangular recessed panels with decorative acorns and foliage between the header and the arched fireplace opening. Four tiled panels either side of the fire basket in a maroon and white diamond pattern with fleur-de-lys in the centre. Fire basket of polished metal with adjustable hood which has a knob at each side. There are two curved horizontal metal bars attached to the fire bed. Back and sides lined with stone, Metal hearth with red and black tiles under the carpet.
