Summary
A musical box in an oblong case with marquetry inlay in the top. A diamond shaped motif is in the centre, mainly of boxwood and harewood. Boxwood stringing is around the outside, a foliate motif at each corner. The sides have a dark stain, stringing on the front. A paper label inside the lid is printed '12 Airs Fabrique de Nicole Freres Genere' and inscribed 'Gamme No.1407.' It lists the 12 airs 'N.32566'.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF
