Summary
Barrel organ with five barrels, one in situ, two stored on shelves above and two others (beside organ) Each barrel has a printed label, the 'First Barrel' also has the maker's label; 'Flight and (ampersand) Robson..., St Martins Lane/London'. The tunes on each barrel are listed 1 to 10. Oak and pine barrel supports, organ interior of pine with three ebony stops; 'Open Diapason/Stop Diapason/Principal'. Oak panelled sides to case. Gothic front with castellated top edge, a pointed arch opening in the front with nine gilt pipes. Five pipes in a tower form are placed each side under a Gothic niche. Ascription to F. & R. on the evidence of two barrels being labelled: Flight & Robson / ORGAN BUILDERS / to His Majesty / 101 [?91] St. Martin・s Lane / LONDON. Oak casework with gothic details. Front dummy pipes arranged in a flat of ten and two towers of five each. The playing barrel accessed at the back of the case. There are three shelves above for storing the other barrels. Drawstops below playing barrel : Open Diapason (8′, metal with a shared stoppered bass); Stop Diapason (8′, wood with a shared bass); Principal (4′, metal)・
