Summary
Print, The desire of all Nations after Edward H. Fellowes Prynne (? Plymouth 1854 - Ealing 1921). A print (a) of a painting by E.H. Fellowes Prynne entitled 'The Desire of all Nations'. It shows the Virgin and Child seated in the centre with the three Kings to the left and the three shepherds to the right. Joseph stands beside the Virgin and the Angel Gabriel is seen as a diaphonous figure above. The Virgin and Child have large-eyed Pre-Raphaelite type faces. Published by the Berlin Photographic Company. Originally in an ebonised frame (b) with gilt inner edge (now in MS14). Glass missing.
