Summary
An oak shield mounted with a stuffed roe deer head. The head looks directly forward with ears pricked and young velvet covered antlers rising up with three forks at the end. Brown glass eyes. Shield has an ogee pointed top edge. Infestation on velvet and around mouth.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
