Summary
Large stuffed head of a Red Deer stag. Faces forwards. It has long antlers dividing into two points at the top, one with one point and the other with two nearer the base of the skull. Mounted on a metal bracket with a label. 'John Cook artist in Animal and bird stuffing.....Market Place, Derby'.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
