Summary
A stair carpet. Imitates a Caucasian style rug with designs in its centre of large octagonal shapes in pale cream and orange, linked together on a cream background, spotted with small pink and cream flowers. Bordered with two bands at each edge of small flowers, both sides edged in blue. An exact copy of the original carpet found by the National Trust when it took over the house in 1985.
