Summary
A small apricot satin baby's bonnet, late 19th Century. The bonnet is lined with apricot silk. Around the outside of the wired and gathered front edge is a closely clustered row of lace flowers with apricot ribbon in the centre of each. On the inside edge of the wired frame is pleated lace in two rows with small tassels of ribbon between the layers. On the crown are three large rosettes made from gathered rows of lace with small pieces of ribbon in between. An apricot ribbon runs down either side of the bonnet and around the bottom to tie in a bow at the back. Two ribbon ties hang from either side of the front. B34
