Summary
B707 A small childs cream woollen embroidered coat (a) and cape (b), late 19th Century, coat is waisted, skirt pleated at the sides and front. Back of bodice, sleeves and bottom of coat are decorated with wool embroidery of interwining leaves and buds in greens, reds and pinks. Same embroidery decorates the collar and edges of the cape, which also has a braided tasselled fringe. Cape fastens with a ribbon at the neck and is worn over coat. Coat lining is cotton, cape lined with cream silk.
