Summary
A silver epergne by Mappin and Webb with an inscription on the base; 'Presented to Richard Fynderne Harpur Crewe... on attaining his majority etc., etc.' A round base with central mirror on 3 scallop and foliage feet. A stem on 3 scroll feet with 3 branches each supporting a cut-glass dish and a large dish fits on the top. Marked Mappin and Webb and silver marks. Wrapped in green baize cases. Stored in specially made box (see CAL/F/1397)
