Summary
One of 14 photographic plates in postage box, stamped and addressed to 'Editor of Amateur Photographer 1 Creed Lane/London.' and 'R.F.H. Crewe.' written to one side. Brown paper wrapping inside is inscribed '12 group/ 3 village /Crewe'; All used by Richard Harpur Crewe. Some in their original boxes and packing, some have not been exposed. The exposed plates seem to be a collection of places he visited. This photographic plate shows a ship with two funnels. A second image has been created for identification purposes.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
