Pastel on paper, Sir Vauncey Harpur Crewe 10th Bt. (1846-1924) by Robert Thorburn, ARA (Dumfries 1818 - Tunbridge Wells 1885). Portrait of Vauncey Harpur Crewe, aged about 14, bust length. His head is turned towards the left and shown against a shaded ground. His hair is combed back from his forehead. He wears a jacket buttoned at the lapel and a pink and white striped cravat with a gold pin.
