Portrait miniature, hand-coloured photograph on card, Evelyn Harpur-Crewe (1832 – 1877), British (English) School. 1855-1860. Of a young man in uniform (Evelyn Harpur Crewe). He sits beside a table draped with a red cloth. Wearing a blue/green uniform with extensive frogging, and a gold and blue peaked hat. He holds a silver-topped cane in one hand and a watch-chain in the other. Fair hair and a moustache. A pink rose in his jacket. Written in ink on the reverse 'Evelyn Harpur Crewe/ Captain - Dragoon Guards' (?)
