Summary
Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, Selina Harpur Crewe, Mrs William Stanhope Lovell (d.1838) attributed to John Jackson, RA (Lastingham, Yorks 1778 – London 1831).1832. Arched top.Half-length portrait of a young lady turned slightly to the right, in a rich blue pinafore dress over a muslin blouse with round lace frill. Dark brown eyes, black curly hair, with fox-tail head-dress, pale creamy complexion. Sky background. (see CAL/P/144). Inscribed on the reverse 'Portrait of the Late Selina Crewe...etc etc.' Pendant to CAL/P/151b.
