Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, Sir Vauncey Harpur Crewe 10th Bt. (1846-1924) as a Child by Octavius Oakley (Bermondsey 1800 – London 1867). Bust-length portrait of a child. He has fair hair worn loose over the ears, brown eyes and wears a red jacket with an open lace collar. Aged about 6. Shaded blue background. In the back a plait of hair is laid under glass with the initials; 'V.H.C'.
