Summary
Contents of a specimen drawer from F/1526 - 9th drawer from the top, on the left side. It contains a collection of small shells tied with cotton, some in oval wood-strip boxes. Also two pill-boxes containing shells, one labelled 'Bivalves' the other 'Echirus Trivalves'. One oval wood-strip box contains miniature scallop-type shells is dated 1832. Another containing fungus-like shells is inscribed 'Miss Henrietta Catharine Pinsley's Lamps' and another 'Turbo Terebra' One box has its original label'Hippo or Ipecacuanha Lozenges ... Dargaville and (ampersand) Co.....Cork'. Another 'Robert Gibton's Drug Spice...Warehouse...Dublin'.
