Summary
An assorted collection of fossils, shells, minerals and artefacts collected by Sir Vauncey Harpur Crewe and his son Richard. Many of them with accompanying labels. Arrow heads wrapped in 'The Belfast Evening Telegraph 1898', accompanying note 'Prehistoric arrow or spear head, Rocky 11 Cent. BC. Inhabitants from Bauff, R. Crewe 1912'. Cardboard box of shells wrapped in newspaper dating 1893. Wooden box of fragments of 'Anglo Saxon dish made about year 600 AD', described in Jewills Life of Wedgwood'. Piece of metal labelled 'German Mine, Tyree N.B. 1914-15'. Large cardboard box labelled fossils. Small dog skull and same early glassware, small clay pots. Most of the notes date from 1898 to 1915.
