Summary
Grand Piano, Broadwood , London, 1881. No. 21558. Compass AAA-a4. ‘A No 12 Grand Pf’ [Broadwood Archive] the casework veneered in rosewood; jointed rim with semi-elliptic tail; the skirt moulding capped with an ogee. The instrument is raised on three dodecagonal tapered legs with knop and collar turnery and brass trailing castors; scrolled, aliform carvings conceal the leg-bearers; rosewood pedals and pedal lyre with single brass stay.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
