Summary
Chamber Organ. Finger and barrel operated organ c.1750. 'The organ case is divided visually into three sections: the lowest is a cupboard with doors at the front and removable side panels; the central section is architectural, with three pairs of columns topped by a balustrade; the top part is a miniature dummy organ case with four round towers and three flats, the whole surmounted by a broken pediment with the initials G.R. inlaid into it. The construction is of the highest quality, in the style of the cabinet maker William Hallett' (From report of conservators Goetze & Gwynn)
