Grand Piano, Erard, London, 1869. No. 11746. Compass AAA-a4 The exterior of the casework and top surface of the yoke veneered in burr walnut; the inner rim veneered in sycamore; the spine and cheekpiece keywell projections shaped (in side elevation) with a quirk; three tapered hexagonal legs with collars of turnery at top and bottom and brass trailing castors below; elaborately fretted music desk and candle slides; square edged, uncarved pedal lyre with moulded console below; brass-trimmed pedals; the central pedal rod a dummy.
