Small black-painted metal deed box with a lock in the front and a loop handle either side. A giltmetal plate inside is inscribed 'C. Chubb and Son Makers/57 St. Paul's Church Yard/London'. The lock has a serial number '301470' and 'Chubb's Patent' etc.
