Summary
A brown painted metal portable shower with high level tank and recirculating pump, mid 19th century. Circular base, drainage partition in centre, resting on five circular wooden feet, pump at side. Four wooden poles and one metal tube hold up circular tank above. Water was pumped up hollow metal tube. Makers - Benham of Wigmore Street. Shower painted bamboo colour and five supporting poles painted to resemble bamboo shoots. Makers no. 3591.
