Summary
One of six medals with silver plated mounts, the centre a plaster cast covered with glass each side. One side is cast with a corn wreath cast with a plough at its base, inscribed around it; 'BIRMINGHAM AGRICULTURAL EXHIBITION SOCIETY/ESTABLISHED 1849'. Inside the exhibitor's name is engraved with the date and class. The mount is plain, the ring handle with floral cast decoration. Dated 1873, for the best long horn ox. The reverse has the same relief of cattle, sheep and pig. In a case with a push clip rather than hooks.
