Summary
One of six medals with silver plated mounts, the centre a plaster cast covered with glass each side. One side is cast with an oak wreath, inscribed around it; 'Birmingham and Midlands Counties Exhibition/Established 1849'. Inside the exhibitor's name is engraved with the date and class. The mount is plain, the ring handle with floral cast decoration. Engraved; '1864/To Sir J.H. Crewe Bart./Breeder & Exhibitor/of the best Long Horn Ox/Class 13'. In a red leather case, lined with blue velvet, the label of 'Thos. Ottley, Birmingham/Medallist and Die Sinker' inside the lid.
