Summary
A collection of brass attachments for curtains most of which act as holders for the tiebacks. Information spread over three index cards as follows- card 1) Six circular brass dish shapes, which have an everted rim. In the centre of each is a bronze head, in relief. Each dish screws onto a stem attached to the wall. (three have heads missing and some stems are broken or missing) card 2) Four brass circular dish shapes, with everted rims, have a moulded brass motif in the centre, a circle surrounded by flower heads and leaves. They also have a turned brass screw in stems which would attach to a wall attachment at one end, rusty. card 3) Eight oval tubular brass loops which also screw into a wall attachment and would act as loops for holding tie backs. A circular brass curtain ring , A brass chain alternate rectanular and circular rivets. Two stems with heads missing.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
