Summary
A collection of brass attachments for curtains most of which act as holders for the tiebacks. Information spread over three index cards as follows- card 1) Six circular brass dish shapes, which have an everted rim. In the centre of each is a bronze head, in relief. Each dish screws onto a stem attached to the wall. (three have heads missing and some stems are broken or missing) card 2) Four brass circular dish shapes, with everted rims, have a moulded brass motif in the centre, a circle surrounded by flower heads and leaves. They also have a turned brass screw in stems which would attach to a wall attachment at one end, rusty. card 3) Eight oval tubular brass loops which also screw into a wall attachment and would act as loops for holding tie backs. A circular brass curtain ring , A brass chain alternate rectanular and circular rivets. An oval tubular brass loop with a screw into a wall attachment and would act as a loop for holding tie backs.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
