Summary
A woman's group of miniature gold fob seals, c. 1800. The group comprises seven various small gold scrolling and fluted seals individually mounted with a polished gem base including examples in garnet, agate, rock crystal, citrine and one with a sardonyx intaglio engraved to depict a putto astride a lion, together with a Georgian gold hinged hair locket. All are suspended from a Georgian gold serpent split ring.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
