Summary

One of a pair of Victorian gold earrings, c. 1870. Of naturalistic inspiration, the smaller circular spherical top sections each bezel set with three circular amethyst cabochons suspending below larger matching pear-shaped 'fruiting' drops each set with five circular amethyst cabochons.

Provenance

Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
