Summary
A George III 18ct gold hunting cased lever watch, with white enamelled dial having roman chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial, gold hands, the backplate signed 'Roberts of Derby Patent No 1027', bimetallic compensation balance with diamond end-stone, in plain case initialled 'JHC', 1814, (outer case broken).
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
