Summary
Victorian prie-dieu chair with an ebonised frame decorated with gilt incised lines. The seat is sprung and covered with blue velvet, the edges braided with cord and gold braid. There are two bands of needlework on the seat, a single band on the back. Griffins and lions are embroidered alternately on a curved stem of brown foliage. The blue ground they were on has worn away.
