Summary
An X-frame upholstered Victorian chair with a light oak frame. The back curves up to a scrolled top, the curve continuing to the seat. The arch of legs supports them with rounded terminals on white ceramic castors. The spandrels between legs and seat rail are carved with husks, a quatrefoil in the centre. The upholstery is in one piece, covered with red plush, with two bands of wool and silk embroidery. The design is of octagons joined by bars in polychrome against a white background.
