A mahogany library armchair, English, circa 1850. Upholstered in a red velvet, with down swept arm supports, raised on turned baluster forelegs and raked back legs tied by stretchers, brass and ceramic castors.
Provenance
Calke Abbey and contents transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
