Summary
Stained beech invalid chair with metal framed wheels with rubber edges. ThE black uprights continue in a curve around the base, to finish as foot supports. Straight armrests with rounded ends, pierced with a hole, are on turned upright supports. The seat and back are applied pieces of plywood (originally caned). The makers printed bone lable is; 'Surgical Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Hospital and Invalid Furniture Makers, 83-85 Mortimer Street, London, W1'.
