Summary
Inlaid walnut workbox with blue satin lining. Two bands of inlay run front to back around the box, a chain of straight sided links running between two bands of multicolour woods. In the centre a giltmetal rectangle is inlaid with a band of tulipwood around it within harewood and other stringing, a chequered inner band. The square escutcheon has similar bands around it. The edges have ebony strips around them. A tray fits inside the lid with numerous compartments, covered with silver paper and blue satin.
