Summary
One of a set of three early 19th century hall chairs made of elm and grained. Shield-shaped back with arched crest and a painted eagle, wide seat with an oval transversal hollow, and serpentine front. Back and seat have chamfered reverse edges; green paint partially visible under graining.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
