Summary
A Victorian chair with pointed arched back, squared seat and cabriole legs. The frame curves to a point centre back, moulded with a white centre and gilt edges. Along the base of the back are four carved gilt and white leaves, pointed downwards. The seat rail has a curved front lower edge, a carved leaf in the centre. The black wool upholstery is embroidered in polychrome and metal thread in an Indian style all-over floral design. A roundel is embroidered on the seat and the four corners, the back has an embroidered border and an arched panel in the centre. Some of the metal embroidery is raised. On casters. Fitted loose cover.
