Summary

A rosewood writing box with giltmetal mounts. The corners are capped and banded, there are hinged handles in the sides, a shaped escutcheon and a panel in the lid engraved 'AMA'. The inside is fitted with a blue felt writing surface, pen tray etc. and one original ink bottle with a silver-gilt cover.
