Summary
A stuffed red breasted Merganser, one of three specemins in a rectangular wooden taxidermy display case with mahogany beading around a glass front, the interior decorated with a painted blue sky and white clouds scene. This is the female merganser and she is mounted in a lakeside habitat, crouched down at the left of the case with a fish in her bill.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
