Summary

A large cedarwood travelling box, the hinged lid painted in script; 'For cabin/Capt E.H. Crewe/Passenger/By Ship Trafalgar/To England NL'. The box has rounded edges and inset copper plates strengthened corners and sides. A lock is fitted on the front, the top is hinged (hinges broken) and inside is a bar to hold the lid open. Contained textiles.
