Summary
A small velvet lined mahogany box containing two large and four small glass bottles with glass stoppers. In the base is a small drawer also lined with red velvet and with a hinged squared loop handle. The handle and key escutcheon are brass plated, with pointed corners. A brass pin pulls out to release the drawer. Two squared bottles, one with a label inscribed, 'Camphorated Sal Volatile'. CAL/F/734a has a round topped glass stopper instead of the squared stopper top. All the bottles have octagonal lips (CAL/F/734 c and e are damaged). The lower drawer contains a small pair of brass scales and twelve brass weights, marked drams and scrups.
