Summary
A wooden circular knife cleaning machine made by Kent, 199 High Holborn, London. The circular wooden drum has four holes on top, each surrounded by a metal plate with two metal extensions for holding the knife in place. The drum rests on a metal frame with sabre shaped supports, fastened down to a wooden board. On one side is an S-shaped metal handle with a wooden hand piece for turning the internal mechanism. On the outside of the drum is the brass trade mark plaque with a small clock face inscribed, 'Time and Labour Saved'. Two paper instructions one prescribing the use of 'Kents emery' in the machine, the other being directions on how to place the different sorts of knife into the machine. Rusty, top of drum broken.
