A mahogany, brass and cast iron reading stand, by Carters, New Cavendish Street, London, late 19th century. With an adjustable book rest and circular table, held on a brass pole and cast iron pedestal base.

Provenance

Calke Abbey and contents transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
