Watercolour with white bodycolour, painted on brown paper, Calke Chapel, Derbyshire, by William Newton (fl.1831). A church with a square tower standing in parkland with deer in the foreground. The church has pointed Gothic windows and is built on a terrace. Deep moulded frame, painted gold, the reverse with a label inscribed, 'Calke Chapel/Drawn by William Newton/1831/A.W.'
